To support her professional ambitions, Dr. Cipriano initially pursued an education at St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing, from which she earned a diploma in 1993. She subsequently continued her studies with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Central Connecticut State University in 2002 followed by a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Connecticut in 2011. Dr. Cipriano ultimately concluded her academic efforts at Maryville University of Saint Louis in 2016, graduating with a Doctor of Nursing Practice. These achievements have been instrumental in shaping her approach to patient care and her commitment to addressing complex medical conditions such as Lyme disease and Bartonella.
Dr. Cipriano’s passion for helping others was profoundly influenced by personal experiences, particularly her son’s recovery from a prolonged misdiagnosis. This pivotal moment inspired her to delve deeper into medical knowledge and pursue specialized training under renowned Lyme disease expert Richard Horowitz. Her expertise in preventative medicine, tick-borne diseases, autoimmune conditions, mold and mycotoxin illness, and heavy metal poisoning has garnered her recognition as an authority in these areas.
In addition to her clinical roles, Dr. Cipriano has contributed to academia as a clinical professor at Yale University from 2015 to 2025 and as a clinical educator with Novartis from 2008 to 2011. Her involvement with professional organizations such as the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society underscores her commitment to advancing medical knowledge and fostering collaboration among healthcare professionals.
