She is also a certified addiction professional, a substance abuse professional, and a certified alcohol and drug counselor II.
Ms. Coppola authored two feature articles titled “Gratitude Is Not Simply A Word” and “I Know You’re Ready, But Are You Willing?” in Rockers in Recovery magazine. She has acted as a presenter for the Family System Approach to Substance Abuse Seminar. Ms. Coppola has been recognized for her achievements with a Certificate of Appreciation and Certificate of Recognition from the School of Social Work, Honors and Commendations from Miami Dade College Center for Community Involvement, the President’s Call to Service Award by Barack Obama, and received the James E. Dube Scholarship from Miami Dade College. She participates as a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors.
Ms. Coppola credits her successful recovery from addiction as her most notable accomplishment. November 2023 marked 17 years of sobriety for her, and her journey toward recovery is a testament to her strength, resilience, and determination to overcome the challenges of life. In the coming years, she intends to establish her own practice and envisions a brick-and-mortar office where she can provide professional services to her clients. When she is not working, she dedicates her time and attention to playing with her dog, reading, watching television, and going to the beach.
