Throughout his career, he has combined sales training, marketing, medical affairs and clinical development experience to assist in the distribution of life-saving medications.
Following obtaining an Associate of Applied Science in radiologic sciences in 1984 from Misericordia University in Dallas, Pennsylvania, Mr. Lunger earned a certificate in nuclear medicine technology in 1985 from Geisinger Medical Center. He later continued his education with a Bachelor of Science in radiologic sciences in 2006 from Florida College of Health Sciences in Orlando and a Master of Science in radiologic and imaging science in 2007 from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
In a career spanning over thirty years, Mr. Lunger has excelled as a nuclear medicine applications specialist with General Electric, director of field operations and senior product manager with Cytogen, senior medical science liaison with Corixa Corporation, assistant director of clinical development with GlaxoSmithKline and deputy director of oncology marketing with Bayer HealthCare, in which he was responsible for strategic development and integration of the brand and customer strategies, including execution of programs toward the successful launch of Xofigo, a radiopharmaceutical used to treat metastatic cancers in bone.
Mr. Lunger attributes his success to hard work, drive, and his nature to strive for success. He is also passionate about therapies and having opportunities for patients’ benefit. He cites his most notable achievement the teams he developed on both the commercial and clinical side of the business. Working with the big pharmaceutical companies, he had the opportunity to create and build departments and also created unique positions for individuals with imaging backgrounds to assist them in training, education, and medical science.
