Working for the company in Boston, Massachusetts, she managed sales operations across more than 15 locations, focusing on preparing clients for senior relocation and overseeing project management during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her health and wellness journey also included her role as a yoga instructor at Back Bay Yoga Studio between 2007 and 2015 and as a yoga teacher under Yoga Lori from 2006 to 2015, teaching classes globally and sharing her expertise in mindfulness and holistic health.
Ms. O’Doherty’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in business, communications and psychology from Westfield State University in Westfield, Massachusetts, earned in 2002. During her studies, she spent a semester abroad at Bond University in Australia, studying business, culture and travel. Civically engaged throughout her career, Ms. O’Doherty served as a corps member with City Year. She has also volunteered at local rehabilitation centers, including Woburn Rehabilitation & Nursing Center and Aberjona Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Winchester, Massachusetts. Today, Ms. O’Doherty supports Woburn Youth Soccer, reflecting her dedication to community involvement.
Throughout her career, Ms. O’Doherty has drawn upon her own journey of healing after experiencing sexual abuse in her youth. This personal history has shaped her empathetic approach to supporting others facing trauma or vulnerability, whether through teaching yoga, coaching or working with seniors. She was featured for her yoga instruction in The New York Times and highlighted by a local Boston publication for her contributions to yoga education.
