Title: Chief Executive Officer, Medical Director, and Partner
Company: Medallus Medical North Dakota
Location: Jamestown, North Dakota, United States

Noelle Riehl, chief executive officer, medical director and partner at Medallus Medical North Dakota, has been recognized by Top Healthcare Professionals for dedication, achievements and leadership in healthcare executive leadership.

With an exceptional career spanning more than 25 years, Ms. Riehl has found much success as an expert in healthcare executive leadership, multi-site clinical operations, urgent and primary care, emergency and acute care, rural and community health and employer-sponsored health programs. Her expertise also extends to occupational medicine, critical care and flight nursing, emergency medical services, population health and preventive screening, medical aesthetics and wellness therapies. Praised for her relentless drive to challenge the status quo and her commitment to cost-conscious care delivery, Ms. Riehl has continually sought innovative ways to personalize patient care while reducing expenses for both patients and employers.

Since 2021, Ms. Riehl has provided executive, clinical and strategic leadership for Medallus Medical’s North Dakota operations. In her present positions as chief executive officer, medical director and partner, she oversees four urgent and primary care clinics as well as affiliated Medallus MediSpa and Prime IV Hydration & Wellness practices. Moreover, she maintains an active bedside patient-care role while directing clinical quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance and organizational culture. Her responsibilities include recruiting and mentoring clinicians, developing standardized protocols and quality-improvement initiatives and negotiating partnerships with public school systems, first responders, government agencies and employers. Under her guidance, Medallus Medical has grown from a small-town operation into a statewide network, encompassing 10 health care and wellness businesses with 65 employees.

A hallmark of Ms. Riehl’s tenure at Medallus Medical is her development of integrated employer-sponsored health programs that have saved millions of dollars for local agencies and self-funded employers while improving access to care for their employees. By building relationships with middle-class employee groups who often defer necessary medical care due to high premiums, she has enabled employers to offer services at minimal or no cost. This approach reduces absenteeism by ensuring timely treatment for illness or injury while providing employees with discounted MediSpa services and free access to chiropractic, dietitian and mental health support. These initiatives also encourage organizations to redirect savings toward employee benefits or community investments.

Prior to joining Medallus Medical North Dakota in 2021, Ms. Riehl excelled as a traveling emergency room nurse practitioner with Sanford Health in Bismarck. In this capacity, she provided acute care in diverse settings throughout the region. Earlier in her career, she worked as an emergency medical technician and certified nursing assistant, roles that introduced her to the realities of frontline health care.

Ms. Riehl’s professional journey also includes extensive experience as a clinical educator and teaching affiliate with the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. She has served as a clinical preceptor for nursing students, advanced practice students and newly graduated healthcare professionals. Additionally, she has advised public-school districts and community organizations on employer health programs and delivered presentations at employee wellness events across North Dakota. Ms. Riehl has been affiliated with several professional organizations including the American Association of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery, American Society of Addiction Medicine, North Dakota EMS Association, Emergency Nurses Association and American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Throughout her career, Ms. Riehl has witnessed significant changes in the healthcare industry, as professionals shifted from a focus on illness-based treatment to greater emphasis on prevention, early intervention and coordinated care. She recognizes the opportunities created by telemedicine expansion, integrated behavioral health services and advanced practice roles for nurse practitioners but remains mindful of ongoing challenges such as rising costs and workforce shortages. Her belief in combining technological innovation with personal relationships guides her approach to leading teams through industry transformation.

Ms. Riehl’s academic background is foundational to her achievements. She initially earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Jamestown in 2008. She ultimately graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing specializing in nursing education from the University of Mary in Bismarck in 2013. She also completed coursework in secondary education at Valley City State University as well as additional coursework through the North Dakota University System in preparation for future teaching roles. In addition to her formal education, Ms. Riehl holds several certifications that have furthered her expertise, including as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board, a post-master’s nurse practitioner from Maryville University in St. Louis, an advanced practice registered nurse from the North Dakota Board of Nursing, a registered nurse, and a certified professional in botulinum toxin type A injectables, dermal fillers and various advanced aesthetic procedures.

Ms. Riehl’s success is rooted in determination, resilience and a refusal to accept that high-quality healthcare should be inaccessible or unaffordable. Experience across every level of patient care from emergency medical services through bedside nursing to executive leadership has taught her adaptability and the importance of listening closely to both patients’ needs and organizational priorities. Ms. RIehl credits mentors, colleagues and family members for their inspiration throughout her journey.

Ms. Riehl was inspired to enter healthcare after growing up with a sister who required continuous care due to cerebral palsy, a formative experience that instilled deep compassion for families facing similar challenges. Encouraged by her mother’s example of service to others during times of need, her civic engagement reflects a lifelong commitment to service beyond clinical practice. She contributes as a board member for Circle Cross Riding Club, a volunteer coach for Special Olympics North Dakota across multiple sports seasons, a member of Team Rubicon on disaster-response projects, a supporter of local charitable youth-focused initiatives throughout North Dakota, and a participant in youth mission efforts constructing homes for families in Juárez, Mexico.

Ms. Riehl has been celebrated for her stellar efforts, having been presented with the Presidential Award from the Office of the President of the United States in 2005 and the Community Choice Award from Medallus Medical at The Awards hosted by Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce in 2026. He was also recognized among the “20 Under 40” by Bismarck Mandan Chamber EDC featured in Connection Magazine in 2025.
