Ms. Cantinieri, a seasoned professional in clinical reimbursement and regulatory compliance, has demonstrated nearly three decades of expertise in the long-term care sector. She has served as the managing director of clinical reimbursement and regulatory compliance at Zimmet Healthcare Services Group LLC, a full-service consulting firm dedicated to the post-acute care industry, since 2024. In this capacity, Ms. Cantinieri oversees the service line for the clinical team, focusing on compliance auditing, consulting and quality innovations to assist clients with reimbursement and compliance matters. Her leadership is marked by a commitment to advancing best practices and ensuring regulatory adherence within the organization. Her expertise in Medicare Part A and B and Medicaid has also been instrumental in her success.

Affiliated with Zimmet Healthcare Services Group LLC since 2010, Ms. Cantinieri previously served as the senior vice president of clinical policy and education from 2023 to 2024. In this role, she was responsible for shaping clinical policy and spearheading educational initiatives that enhanced her colleagues’ and clients’ knowledge base. Between 2021 and 2023, she was the vice president of MDS policy and education. Earlier, Ms. Cantinieri served as the vice president of clinical services at Zimmet Healthcare Services Group LLC from 2019 to 2021. She also excelled as a senior clinical consultant, starting in 2018, after nearly a decade as a registered nurse clinical consultant, beginning in 2010.

Before joining Zimmet Healthcare Services Group LLC, Ms. Cantinieri worked as a minimum data set coordinator at Putnam Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation from 2006 to 2010, where she managed resident assessments and ensured accurate documentation for reimbursement. Her entry into the field began in 1999 in the same capacity at Fieldhome, where she honed her skills in long-term care assessment and compliance.

Ms. Cantinieri began her career in 1996 as a registered nurse specializing in long-term care at a nursing home in Ohio before relocating to New York. Her early experiences laid the foundation for her subsequent achievements in clinical reimbursement and regulatory compliance.

Ms. Cantinieri’s academic background has been instrumental in her success. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in nursing, cum laude, from Wright State University in 1995 and with a Master of Business Administration in data analytics from Louisiana State University, Shreveport, in 2019. Aside from her formal education, Ms. Cantinieri has acquired numerous professional credentials, including a certified medical documentation professional designation from the American Institute of Healthcare Compliance and a director of nursing services certification from AAPCN. She also achieved certification in health care compliance from the Compliance Certification Board, which required three days of intensive coursework and a challenging examination.

As a testament to her dedication to her field, Ms. Cantinieri is a professional member of the American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing, the National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration of Long-Term Care, the Health Care Compliance Association and the American Institute of Healthcare Compliance. She also serves on the awards committee for the American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing, supporting recognition initiatives within the profession.

Ms. Cantinieri has become a national speaker at various conferences, sharing her expertise with peers across the country. As an AAPCN master teacher for the Resident Assessment Coordinator Certification, she has played a pivotal role in educating professionals within the field.

Attributing her achievements to the unwavering support of her mother, whose encouragement provided a strong foundation throughout her journey, Ms. Cantinieri also credits her determination to pursue goals with persistence as key to her success. Looking ahead, she plans to seek additional certification in auditing, maintain her current credentials through recertification and expand her expertise within the business sector.
