She worked as a staff pharmacist at Kaiser Permanente from 2004 to 2005 and an in-patient staff pharmacist at the University Medical Center of Tucson, Arizona, from 2006 to 2007.
Ms. Woods continued her career as a floater pharmacist at Bashas Food City in 2011. She was active as an order verification pharmacist at APAC Customer Services, part of Optum Inc., in 2012. She found success as a patient care center pharmacist at Walgreen Co. from 2013 to 2014.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Woods pursued an education at the University of Arizona, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in biology and chemistry in 1980 and completed a Master of Science program in toxicology in 1983. She concluded her studies at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy in 2000. She completed a certification program in French language and literature at the Ecole Superieure de Commerce in Neuchatel, Switzerland.
Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Ms. Woods has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She contributed to Gospel Rescue Mission and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In addition to her primary vocation, she remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. She was a member of the American Public Health Association.
In light of her impressive undertakings, Ms. Woods has accrued several accolades throughout her career. She was presented with the Graduate Student Fund Award from the University of Arizona and received a diversity scholarship from the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy. She was published in the journal Brain Research in 1983. In the immediate future, she intends to continue contributing to her team and traveling more.
