Chris Wilson, LCDCi, ICMHC, NCTC, NCRC-II, NCIP, founder and chief executive officer of Med Harmony and ASIC Recovery, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in mental health, wellness and addiction recovery.

Before Mr. Wilson could step into a career focused on helping others, he had to help himself. He initially studied graphic design at the Art Institute of Houston. Before completing his degree, Mr. Wilson chose to focus on his work as a professional photographer, freelancing in that role for five years beginning in 2008. But at the same time, he was struggling with substance abuse, trapped in a cycle of chronic relapse whenever he tried to quit.

In 2014, after 15 years of back-and-forth, Mr. Wilson committed to sobriety. As he was working hard to turn his life around, his cousin, also named Christopher Wilson, overdosed and passed away before his 21st birthday. Deeply affected by this loss and his understanding of the challenges his cousin had faced in recovering from addiction, Mr. Wilson decided to honor his cousin’s memory and his own journey by pursuing a professional life centered on making a positive impact on society. He began studying substance use support and considering how he could best improve outcomes for other current and recovering addicts.

In his first breakthrough on that journey, Mr. Wilson founded ASIC Recovery in 2018. He realized through his own experiences that the state of Texas had a significant gap in primary mental health care services, making it extremely difficult for people trying to recover from addiction to get the support they needed. Through ASIC Recovery, Mr. Wilson offers a more holistic approach, placing individuals into traditional 12-step programs while providing access to individualized support and counseling. He remains active as ASIC’s chief executive officer to this day.

Concurrently with this venture, Mr. Wilson was the owner of Insight Recovery Support Services for five years, beginning in 2020. That company focused on case management, life and wellness coaching, and personal mental health growth.

In 2025, Mr. Wilson launched his most recent endeavor, Med Harmony. Further seeking to expand access to mental health services for those in need, Med Harmony offers telehealth psychiatric appointments across much of Texas, with plans to expand into Oklahoma in the near future.

Throughout his career journey, Mr. Wilson has been supported by his commitment to continued education and self-improvement. He has earned a wide range of certifications related to the fields of mental health and addiction recovery. Mr. Wilson was licensed as a chemical dependency counselor through the Institute for Chemical Dependency Studies in 2014. From The Addictions Academy, he has been certified as a national recovery coach, a national intervention professional, a national trauma coach and an international mental health coach, as well as in case management.

Mr. Wilson has garnered several noteworthy accolades across the course of his professional life. ASIC Recovery was voted the Number One Recovery Treatment Center in Dallas/Fort Worth in 2023, 2024 and 2025, as well as the Number One Addiction Treatment Center in Fort Worth for Outstanding Customer Satisfaction in 2025. That same year, he was given the CEO of the Year Award Midwest for Innovation in Treatment & Mental Health.

Beyond those accomplishments, Mr. Wilson is a loving stepfather to two stepchildren. He prioritizes spending time with his family whenever he’s able. Looking to the future, Mr. Wilson is excited to expand Med Harmony’s services to other areas that are under-resourced, beginning with Oklahoma. He plans to continue building a holistic approach to mental health, integrating therapy, medication, hormone treatments and other potential methods for helping individuals find success in their journey to sobriety.
