Earlier in her career, she gained clinical experience as a graduate intern in foster care at ChildServ and in the children’s department at Family Rescue from 2012 to 2014. Other roles include building manager and site coordinator for the high school mentor program at the University of Chicago from 2008 to 2013, research assistant at Loyola University’s C.H.A.T.S Lab from 2009 to 2011, and undergraduate intern in the adolescent psychiatric ward at Ann and Robert H. Ms. Worsham El also dedicates her time as an advisory board member for the Treatment Not Trauma Campaign and previously volunteered as a court-appointed special advocate for Cook County. She laid a solid educational foundation, earning a Bachelor of Science in psychology, cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago in 2011 and a master’s degree in social service administration from the University of Chicago in 2014. A licensed clinical social worker, certified family trauma professional, and trauma-sensitive yoga facilitator, she integrates creative arts into her therapeutic practice, emphasizing the importance of healing through body and spirit. Looking to the future, she is dedicated to establishing an all-inclusive wellness retreat to address intergenerational trauma and launching a wellness-based app to empower communities.
