Kari K. Harman, RN, CCM, CWCA, WCN-C, CSWD-C, FCC, ACCWS, DAPWCA, vice president of clinical operations and business development at HealWell LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Healthcare Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in health care.
With over two decades of experience, Ms. Harman has built a successful career in health care, specializing in wound care. She currently excels in her field, managing three practices – she has served as the vice president of clinical operations and business development at HealWell LLC since 2022, faculty educator and wound care instructor at the Advanced Health Institute since 2021, and owner of Wound Wise Consulting since 2015 and CompCare Concepts LLC since 2014. In her roles, she educates and trains wound care providers and nurses, oversees the sales force for HealWell LLC and develops marketing materials. Additionally, she serves on the Wound Healing Society committee. Through Wound Wise Consulting, she assists private physician practices in establishing wound care clinics and teaches wound care certification classes.
Ms. Harman’s experience includes serving as a quarterly guest speaker for the Case Management Society of America, Oklahoma Chapter since 2020, and as director of wound management at Mays Home Care from 2019 to 2023. She has worked as a consulting specialist at iWound from 2021 to 2022 and as a clinical wound specialist at Halo Wound Solutions from 2018 to 2021. Previously, she was a wound education specialist at Gentell, Inc. from 2014 to 2017, a nurse case manager at ALARIS Group Inc. from 2013 to 2015, and the owner of Wound Matrix Consulting, where she served as an advanced wound management specialist from 2009 to 2014. Additionally, she was a workers’ compensation nurse case manager at Working Rehabilitation Solutions from 2006 to 2013 and held roles as a clinical wound management and sales account specialist at Pro Care Healing Centers from 2009 to 2011, and as a sales and clinical educator at HS Pharmaceuticals LLC from 2008 to 2009. She has dedicated her time as an ambassador for the American Board of Wound Management since 2021 and is a committee member of various organizations, including the Wound Healing Society, the American Board of Wound Management, the American Professional Wound Care Association, and the Case Management Society of America.
Laying a solid educational foundation, Ms. Harman earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from Seminole State College in 2002 and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in 2024. She also holds certifications as a Certified Wound Care Associate with the American Board of Wound Management and Commission for Case Manager Certification, is a Fellow of the American College of Certified Wound Specialists from 2010, and is a Certified Case Manager with the Case Management Society of America. Reflecting on her path, she takes great pride in obtaining her wound care certification, which opened doors for her to own businesses, consult, and help others succeed. In the coming years, she aspires to own five more practices and continue to strengthen her current wound care ventures. She believes that health care is an evolving environment, and through technology, we can assist individuals in areas of disparity through mobile or remote care, enriching lives through the healing process.
