With a robust background that spans over two decades, Mr. Jordan has distinguished himself in the field of mental health and addiction counseling. He currently heads the Seven Disciplines Training Academy, an initiative he founded in 2018. Through his academy, he delivers his innovative Ten Step Reframe program, designed to assist clients in overcoming personal obstacles and realizing their fullest potential. His approach is grounded in cognitive behavioral techniques, and he is deeply committed to the principles of writing, reframing, mindfulness meditation, transformation coaching, as well as mental health and addiction counseling.
Throughout his career, Mr. Jordan has held significant roles, including the program director at Spectrum Health Systems’ flagship residential recovery program and the director of addiction services at South Middlesex Opportunity Council. His daily responsibilities have included everything from individual and group counseling to overseeing clinical operations at some of New England’s largest social service agencies.
Mr. Jordan’s dedication to transforming lives is evident not only in his professional endeavors but also in his personal journey. Once a troubled teenager, he discovered solace and discipline in Eastern philosophy and martial arts, which were pivotal in his personal recovery and professional development. This transformation spurred him to pursue higher education, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Framingham State University. He also authored “Breakaway Recovery,” which targets individuals committed to achieving sobriety and finding their life’s purpose. He plans to continue his literary pursuits with another book, “Extreme Measures: How to Save Yourself in the World by Mastering the Seven Disciplines,” aimed at further supporting individuals in their recovery journeys. Looking ahead, Mr. Jordan aspires to be a thought leader in the field of addiction recovery. He sees participating in various podcasts as a strategic way to reach and help more individuals struggling with addiction, building on his positive experiences as a podcast guest. He attributes his success to the transformative power of counseling and the resilience of the human spirit.
