With over 35 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Mitchell has excelled in the field of social services. Currently serving as the director and a social worker at Complete Care Management, she oversees patient admission and discharge, meets with families, coordinates and transfers discharges and provides counseling to patients and family members. She began her career as a unit secretary at VA New Jersey Health Care for 35 years before retiring. After retiring she became a substitute teacher in the local school system.
Prior to embarking on her professional path, Ms. Mitchell pursued an education, earning an associate degree in social science from Essex County College, a Bachelor of Social Work from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and a Master of Social Work from the same institution. She also furthered her studies with a bachelor’s degree in theology from Edison Theological Seminary.
Ms. Mitchell also participates in various civic activities, including volunteering at nursing homes, prom drives and children’s charities. She is also a proud member of Gamma Phi Delta Sorority Inc. and actively participates in Harvest International Pentecostal Church of Christ. She attributes her success to her unwavering commitment to hard work, perseverance, determination and an unyielding desire for a better life. Looking ahead, she is determined to complete her doctoral degree in health care administration at Northcentral University, setting an inspiring example for her children and paving the way for their future success. She advises aspiring professionals in the field of social services to remain dedicated to their goals, stay committed to lifelong learning, and never lose sight of the impact they can make on others’ lives.
