Over the years, she held various leadership positions, including clinical nurse manager at Houston Methodist and interim clinical director of cardiology at St. Joseph Medical Center. Her extensive experience also includes roles as a perioperative educator and catheterization laboratory staff nurse.

Education has been a cornerstone of Ms. Washington’s professional growth. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2010, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing from the same institution in 2015. In 2014, she obtained a Master of Business Administration in healthcare management from American InterContinental University. She also holds an associate degree in nursing from Houston Community College and a certificate in surgical technology from the same institution. Currently, she is pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice at Aspen University.

Ms. Washington has also co-authored articles in prestigious journals such as the Journal of Nursing Education and Practice and the AORN Journal. She has been recognized for her contributions with awards such as the Federation of Houston Professional Woman Award in 2015 and the Nursing Innovations Award. In the coming years, she aims to transition into a consulting role, where she hopes to address gaps in healthcare systems and contribute to enhancing surgical programs.
