Ms. Palafox studied dance at Texas State University, from which she earned a Bachelor of Science in 2006. Following this accomplishment, she undertook several dance and movement internships at medical facilities in Chicago from 2014 to 2015, after which she graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a master’s degree in movement therapy and counseling in 2016. Eminently qualified in her area of expertise, she has been licensed as a professional counselor by the National Board for Certified Counselors since 2017, and as a registered dance/movement therapist by the American Dance Therapy Association since 2016. Looking toward the future, Ms. Palafox is enthusiastic about becoming certified in hypnotherapy, another modality she hopes to utilize for specific patients dealing with trauma.
