Missie Wallace, administrator of ancillary and support services at The Queen’s Medical Center – West Oahu, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of trauma support.

Drawing on more than 20 years of experience, Ms. Wallace has cultivated a career of excellence in the health care industry. Specializing in diagnostic imaging and team development and mentoring, she has served as an administrator of ancillary and support devices at The Queen’s Medical Center – West Oahu since 2016. In her leadership role, she oversees many daily responsibilities pertaining to her sector of the health care clinic, primarily providing support to her fellow health care practitioners and teammates to ensure everyone is able to perform their job functions to the best of their ability.

Prior to her current appointment, Ms. Wallace worked with Adventist Health, another local health care facilities organization in Hawaii, for many years. She originally joined the business in 2002 and operated as a radiology information systems coordinator and imaging supervisor until 2007, at which point she became a clinical information systems educator until 2008. From 2008 to 2012, she was the manager of imagine services. After briefly working as the consulting director of patient advocacy and wellness in early 2012, Ms. Wallace excelled as the diagnostic service line director for various imaging services within the institution, such as CT scans, MRIs and mammograms, until 2016.

Before embarking on her vocational journey, Ms. Wallace pursued a formal education, originally earning an Associate of Science in radiologic technology at the College of DuPage in 1991. She subsequently continued her studies at the National Louis University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in health care leadership in 2000. In conclusion of her collegiate career, she ultimately achieved a master’s degree in adult and continuing education at her alma mater in 2003. In addition to her academic credentials, Ms. Wallace recently earned a fellowship within the American College of Healthcare Executives in 2023, and she holds several pertinent certifications in radiologic technologies.

Ever committed to her industry, Ms. Wallace maintains her affiliation with the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Society of Radiologic Technologists. Adjacent to her primary professional interests, she also remains active as a civic-minded citizen in her community. To wit, she has volunteered as a community educator and advocate at the Castle Medical Center for many years, and she has similarly volunteered with the Hawaii Education of the Arts since 2011 and the Hawaii Island Humane Society since 2016. Likewise, Ms. Wallace has participated with the chorus at the Hawaii Operate Theatre since 2018. In light of her fulfilling career, she is grateful to have been inspired to pursue her passion for nursing by her mother, who also previously served as a registered nurse.
