Brenda M. Williams, Mental & Behavioral Health Therapist at Legacy Counseling, LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Healthcare Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in therapy.
With many years of experience to her credit, Ms. Williams has excelled as the owner of Legacy Counseling LLC, through which she additionally practices as a mental and behavioral health therapist, since 2020. She was previously active as a forensic social worker with a prison as well as multiple mental health facilities. Ms. Williams began her career with the U.S. Army, serving her country between 2002 and 2005.
To support her professional ambitions, Ms. Williams initially earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in sociology in 2010. She concluded her formal studies at Hawaii Pacific University in 2013, graduating with a Master of Social Work. In addition to these accomplishments, Ms. Williams acquired her certifications as a forensic social worker and a clinical child/youth/family social worker.
Notably featured in Black Gold Magazine in 2022, Ms. Williams found success with her written works as well, having authored “Diary of an Army Wife” in 2021 and “Duty to War.” As such, “Diary of an Army Wife” is currently in pre-production for a film adaptation, for which she is presently helping to pen the script and will take on responsibilities as an executive producer. Moreover, Ms. Williams was appointed as an honorary instructor by Walden University and was affiliated with the Alpha Gamma Xi Military Sorority.
Ms. Williams has attributed her success to her desire to help others as well as her passion for everything that she does. Proud to have established her own business in order to make therapy services more accessible, she was drawn to her field due to the need in the African American community for proper mental health services, as people within her community are often misdiagnosed and cannot relate to their mental health service providers. Looking toward the future, Ms. Williams hopes to focus on her business in order to expand her clinical reach and cement their stellar reputation while also hoping to participate in speaking engagements, write more books and obtain her doctorate.
