Jovan Darbonne, Chief Executive Officer of Healthy Family Counseling, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in mental health services.
Since 2017, Ms. Darbonne has excelled as the chief executive officer of Healthy Family Counseling. In this position, she handles administrative duties and coordinates with her team. Prior to her current role, she was an international English instructor for Louisiana State University from 2015 to 2016 and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from 2005 to 2015. Ms. Darbonne’s company was nominated for Business of the Year in 2022. To keep abreast of her field, she is a member of the National Association of University Women and has served as vice president of the Louisiana Educational Foundation.
To prepare for her career, Ms. Darbonne earned bachelor’s degrees in English and audiology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology from the same institution in 2002 and a master’s degree in speech-language pathology in 2005. Committed to ongoing education, Ms. Darbonne completed coursework toward a doctorate in speech-language pathology. She attributes her success to her upbringing and high expectations. She enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family in her spare time.
