Jeana Edwards, DC, Department Chair of Clinical Sciences at Life Chiropractic College West, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in academic administration.
Since 2019, Dr. Edwards has excelled as the department chair of clinical sciences at Life Chiropractic College West. At this small chiropractic school, she manages approximately 30 faculty members with two fellow department chairs. She helps faculty with updating and determining the curriculum and ensures the institution remains in compliance with its accreditations. Dr. Edwards also shares her knowledge as an educator at the institution.
From 2017 to 2019, Dr. Edwards was a lab assistant and faculty member at Life Chiropractic College West. She garnered further experience with the institution as a laboratory manager from 2013 to 2016. Alongside her roles in education, Dr. Edwards was the founder and chiropractor with Chiropractic From the Heart from 2017 to 2020. From 2011 to 2016, she garnered experience as the owner and operator of Haelan Living. Earlier in her career, she worked as an office manager, a chiropractic assistant and a massage therapist.
In preparation for her career, Dr. Edwards completed coursework at Broward College between 2005 and 2009. In 2016, she graduated from the Life Chiropractic College West with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Dr. Edwards was discouraged from pursuing higher education early in her life but later enrolled in college at the age of 33 with the encouragement of a friend. This decision sparked her career success and led to her current position at Life Chiropractic College West.
In the future, Dr. Edwards hopes to continue working in education and obtain a postdoctoral master’s degree in adult education. She aims to advance in her career and assume the role of dean or provost. In addition, Dr. Edwards has a long-term goal to give a TED Talk and publish a book. In her spare time, she enjoys caring for her two dogs, Kosmos and Bodhi.
