A registered nurse for more than two decades, Mr. Rivera has excelled as the chief executive officer of CheckPoint OTC with Rivera Healthcare Services Inc. since 2017. In this role, he conducts pre-employment physical examinations for the trucking industry, scans fingerprints for background checks, runs pre-employment drug and alcohol tests, and collects DNA for use by immigration services and courts. Mr. Rivera is proud to operate a minority-owned business in the biometrics services industry.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Rivera attended the University of San Carlos in the Philippines. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and later earned his Registered Nurse designation. In 2005, Mr. Rivera concluded his higher education at the University of Phoenix, earning a Master of Business Administration.
Alongside his primary roles, Mr. Rivera has been a donor and volunteer to multiple charitable and civic organizations. He volunteers and feeds the community during Thanksgiving, working with churches, homeless shelters and food banks. He is a member of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and a donor to Food for the Marginalized.
Mr. Rivera attributes his success to his love for serving others. In the future, he hopes to expand his business in order to offer his staff better benefits. In his spare time, Mr. Rivera enjoys traveling, watching concerts and shows, exercising, biking, swimming and reading.
