Erin E. Woodbridge, MA, LPC, co-founder and licensed professional counselor at The Willow Space for Trauma Treatment, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Healthcare Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in mental health services.
Mrs. Woodbridge has found much success as a leader in trauma treatment and behavioral health, currently excelling as the co-founder and licensed professional counselor at The Willow Space for Trauma Treatment since 2022. In this capacity, she oversees marketing initiatives, manages vendor relationships and provides direct counseling services. The aforementioned business, which she launched with her husband, was born from their shared dedication to trauma care and their complementary clinical approaches. Their collaboration began after recognizing the alignment in their work and vision, leading to the official formation of The Willow Space for Trauma Treatment.
Prior to her current role, Mrs. Woodbridge worked as a compliance specialist and trainer at Newport Healthcare from 2022 to 2025. In this position, she leveraged her strong rapport with leadership to transition into compliance while maintaining her clinical responsibilities through ongoing training and consultation. Her ability to balance these dual roles demonstrated her adaptability and commitment to both operational excellence and client care.
From 2020 to 2022, Mrs. Woodbridge served as program manager at The Center for Families in Malvern. She was responsible for overseeing program operations, managing staff and ensuring high-quality service delivery. Her leadership during this period was marked by her ability to navigate complex logistical challenges and foster a collaborative environment.
Between 2018 and 2020, Mrs. Woodbridge helped those in need as the primary therapist at The Center for Families in Malvern, where she provided direct therapeutic services to clients and contributed to program development. Concurrently, she was active as an outpatient therapist at Mainline Counseling & Wellness Center, further expanding her clinical experience from 2020 to 2021.
Earlier in her career, Mrs. Woodbridge was recruited as a program coordinator at The Center for Families in Bryn Mawr from 2017 to 2018. Tasked with opening a new site, she overcame significant logistical hurdles to establish a successful program before returning to Malvern as a primary therapist and program manager. Her national collaboration on employee training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy during this time underscored her commitment to advancing clinical standards.
In 2017, Mrs. Woodbridge completed a post-master’s therapist internship at The Center for Families in Malvern, building on her foundational experience as a case manager and counselor at The Keystone Center from 2015 to 2017. Her early professional journey also included roles as a psychotherapist intern at Main Line Health from 2014 to 2015, a member of therapeutic support staff at Child and Family Focus from 2013 to 2015 and a graduate research assistant at West Chester University from 2013 to 2015. Mrs. Woodbridge began her career as a research assistant at the National Center for Family and Marriage Research from 2011 to 2012, a community assistant at American Campus Communities from 2011 to 2012, and as the leasing manager at American Campus Communities from 2012 to 2013.
Mrs. Woodbridge’s commitment to professional development is reflected in her membership with the EMDR International Association since 2021. She has been licensed by the State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since 2018. Likewise, Mrs. Woodbridge has held the approved consultant designation from the EMDR International Association since 2024 and has been an EMDR certified therapist since 2022
To support her professional ambitions, Mrs. Woodbridge pursued an education at Bowling Green State University, from which she earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology in 2012. She subsequently completed coursework at Griffith University in Australia in 2010 before graduating with a Master of Arts in clinical psychology from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2015. Her academic studies provided a strong foundation for her expertise in behavioral health and project management.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Woodbridge has attributed her achievements to persistence, clarity and courage—qualities that have enabled her to adapt when faced with challenges or rejection. She credits her supportive mentors for encouraging her professional growth by providing opportunities that allowed her to take risks and explore new roles within organizations. Her inspiration for entering the counseling profession stemmed from shared experiences with her husband working in drug and alcohol residential settings. Their parallel paths eventually converged through mutual referrals and collaboration on cases involving EMDR therapy, leading them to expand their individual practices into The Willow Space for Trauma Treatment.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Mrs. Woodbridge is civically engaged as a member of the development committee for Root to Branch and participates in Leadership Chester County. She has contributed scholarly work as co-author of “Assessing Post-Cue Exposure Craving and Its Association with Amount Wagered in an Optional Betting Task,” published in the Journal of Behavioral Addictions in 2013.
Looking toward the future, Mrs. Woodbridge is focused on achieving sustainable growth for The Willow Space for Trauma Treatment while maintaining high standards of quality care. She is committed to leveraging her trauma expertise and operational knowledge for greater community benefit through increased involvement with nonprofit organizations and leadership roles that align with her vision for meaningful impact.
