Maggie McIntee, Director of Innovation at Mayo Clinic, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Healthcare Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in clinical digital innovation and patient and provider solutions.

Ms. McIntee has excelled in the healthcare industry through her role as the director of innovation at Mayo Clinic since 2021, in which she supervises a team of 16 staff members in developing internal solutions by identifying pain points in clinical practice and determining core problems through data analysis. Prior to her current position, she served as the administrative director and surgery center coordinator at Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos from 2014 to 2016, an administrative fellow at Mayo Clinic from 2018 to 2020, and the international operations manager at Mayo Clinic from 2020 to 2021. She began her career on the care staff at MTF Inc. in 2012. Among the highlights of her career thus far, Ms. McIntee is incredibly proud of earning the Excellence in Teamwork Award in 2020 for her instrumental leadership in creating a comprehensive playbook for relocating all patients from Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi to their new facility in a single day.

Ms. McIntee initially pursued an education at Boston College, where she obtained dual bachelor’s degrees in biology and psychology from Boston College in 2014. She subsequently graduated from the Yale School of Public Health, part of the Yale School of Medicine, with a Master of Public Health with a concentration on healthcare management in 2018. Her formal academic efforts were complemented by various fellowships and internships, including a graduate teaching fellowship at Yale University and a summer fellowship with the Massachusetts Health Policy Commission. Born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Ms. McIntee attributes much of her success to the mentorship that she received from leaders like Natalie Caine, chief administrative officer at Mayo Clinic, who inspired her to mentor others while championing innovative practices in her field.

Ms. McIntee’s dedication to her community extends into her contributions as a board member for the Intercultural Mutual Assistance Association and HAVEN Free Clinic, a volunteer with Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos, a volunteer at local animal shelters, and as a big sister with Big Brother Big Sister Foundation. She also harbors a passion for the performing arts, having auditioned for singing parts in musical productions at her local community theater as recently as 2024. Looking toward the future, Ms. McIntee aims to work for or establish a startup company that leverages digital tools to address healthcare inequities while advancing developments in biotechnology.
