Jennifer Dru Pichardo, MHA, Director of Nursing at Remedy Therapy Behavioral Health and Founding Affiliate at Make Wellness, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Healthcare Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Health Care, Mental Health Care and Nursing.
Ms. Pichardo, an experienced professional in the health care sector of over 20 years, has been the nursing director at Remedy Therapy Behavioral Health in Stuart, Florida, since 2023. As such, she oversees the nursing and medical care for the psychiatric, substance abuse and eating disorder populations. She also ensures that policies and procedures are aligned with The Joint Commission, the Department of Children and Family in Florida and other relevant regulatory bodies for which they are licensed. Additionally, Ms. Pichardo has found success and reward in helping others become healthy as a founding affiliate at Make Wellness since 2024.
Before becoming the director at Remedy, Ms. Pichardo was the director of nursing at Future Now Detox. She served in the same capacity at SandyPines Residential Treatment Center, focusing on adolescent psychiatry, and was a recreational therapist at the Medical University of South Carolina. Ms. Pichardo also had the opportunity to teach as an adjunct professor of Psych Nursing at Indian River State College in Stuart.
In preparation for her career, Ms. Pichardo received an Associate of Science in nursing at Palm Beach State College, a Bachelor of Science in nursing at Western Governor’s University, a Bachelor of Science in therapeutic recreation and recreational therapy at East Carolina University, and a master’s degree in health administration, policy and organizational leadership at the Medical University of South Carolina. She also garnered credentials as a certified therapeutic recreation specialist. Besides her primary work-related endeavors, Ms. Pichardo is active in the Nurse Practitioner Group and volunteers for various local causes. She credits her success to strong family connections and the positive role models she had while growing up, including her father, a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician, for inspiring her to pursue the medical field. Eager for the future of her career, Ms. Pichardo intends to remain at her facility and work toward becoming the next chief nursing officer as it continues to expand and open additional locations.
