Neil V. Glover, Med, LBS, value-based reimbursement strategist at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Health Plan, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in insurance and child development.
Across more than 20 years, Mr. Glover has worked in many different areas of health care, providing him with a holistic understanding of the field. He has served as a value-based reimbursement strategist at UPMC Health Plan since 2023 and also teaches as an adjunct professor at the Community College of Allegheny County. As a teacher, Mr. Glover specializes in child development, working with children with special needs and general behavioral sciences. In his role for UPMC Health Plan, he works with directors at multiple offices and examines performance data to determine opportunities for improving processes and prioritizing patient care. Mr. Glover’s past experience includes tenures as a program manager in child and adolescent services for the Community Care Behavioral Health Organization, and as a behavior specialist consultant at Community Psychiatric Centers. His career started as therapeutic staff support at Community Psychiatric Centers in 2003.
Mr. Glover’s performance in the field was born of his academic journey. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts and Science in communication and rhetoric from the University of Pittsburgh in 2001. Subsequently, Mr. Glover earned a master’s degree in education and child development from Pennsylvania Western University California in 2005. He is licensed in behavioral health in Pennsylvania. In addition to his work in health care, Mr. Glover finds great satisfaction in coaching young athletes. He has been certified by USA Hockey as a level four ice hockey coach and also teaches skating.
Outside of his career, Mr. Glover is a devoted husband and father to two children. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his family and attending his children’s performances. Looking to the future, Mr. Glover hopes to shift to a position that operates from a broader view of public health. He aspires to develop an even stronger understanding of the full health care system, and to use that understanding to improve that system and create a better experience for practices, physicians and patients.
