Laying a solid foundation for his future success, Mr. Asher completed a certification in educational leadership and administration from Wright State University in 1991. Following this, he pursued an education at Miami Valley Career Technology Center, where he obtained his licensed practical nursing certification in 1994. Following these accomplishments, he concluded his studies with a registered nurse certification from the Ohio Board of Nursing in 2001. In recent years, he has furthered his professional qualifications with certifications such as Resident Assessment Coordinator – Certified and a Certification in Core of Knowledge for Administrators from The Ohio State University in 2012. His most recent certification includes becoming a licensed nursing home administrator accredited by the Board of Executives of Long-Term Services and Supports in 2013.
In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Asher remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He has maintained his involvement as a member of the American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing. Additionally, he has been associated with the Regulatory Compliance Committee of the Ohio Health Care Association. A standout moment in his career was developing a utilization review meeting process that consolidated multiple meetings into one, significantly enhancing efficiency and accuracy for facility teams.
When giving advice to aspiring professionals, Mr. Asher emphasizes the importance of following their passion. He believes that if it is a heartfelt pursuit, success will follow, despite the challenges and occasional lack of recognition. The rewards, he asserts, far outweigh the initial struggles in the health care industry. He attributes his success to his mother, who introduced him to health care at a facility back in 1976, marking his first exposure to the field. He also credits his empathetic nature and compassion, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
