Ms. Tweneboa has demonstrated a remarkable commitment to advancing psychiatric nursing and behavioral health care throughout her career. As the founder and clinician at Kobbex Behavioral Services, a psychiatry clinic in Massachusetts, specializing in integrative psychiatry since 2024. She has worked with individuals across the lifespan, managing a wide range of diagnoses and overseeing specialized units, including those for schizophrenia. Ms. Tweneboa’s responsibilities include providing care in detox environments, stabilizing patients in trauma psychiatric units and facilitating their transition into community programs. Her expertise in medication management, stability maintenance and Suboxone assessments for continued treatment has positioned her as a leader in innovative approaches to mental health care.
In addition to leading Kobbex Behavioral Services, Ms. Tweneboa operates LynexTeleServices, an online clinic offering mental health services such as ketamine treatment. Additionally, since 2022, she has served as a psychiatric nurse practitioner at The Hospital for Behavioral Medicine and Advanced Psych Services in Worcester, Massachusetts. In this capacity, she has focused on treating patients with substance use disorders through Suboxone therapy and providing ketamine treatment for resistant depression, an emerging modality that has shown promise for individuals unresponsive to traditional medications. Ms. Tweneboa’s dedication to integrating these unique treatment options reflects her vision of creating an outstanding outpatient clinic that benefits both patients and her clinical team.
In addition to her clinical roles, Ms. Tweneboa has been a self-employed digital marketing consultant since 2021. In this role, she leverages her entrepreneurial skills to support the branding and outreach efforts of her own business ventures.
From 2022 to 2024, Ms. Tweneboa held the position of clinical director at Summit Academy Schools, where she was instrumental in medication management for residents of group homes serving students with autism. Her earlier tenure at Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital spanned more than 15 years between 2007 and 2023, where she initially served as a staff nurse before transitioning to case manager from 2011 onward. During this period, Ms. Tweneboa played a pivotal role in assessing individuals with brain injuries and determining appropriate funding for their transition from nursing homes to community-based group homes. Witnessing the transformative power of medical intervention on severely ill patients further fueled her passion for hospital-based care.
Ms. Tweneboa’s experience also included working as a nurse at the University of Massachusetts from 2010 to 2023, where she managed Medicare authorizations and supported patients with complex needs. Simultaneously, between 2013 and 2022, she was a care manager at Network Health under Tufts Health Plan, focusing on case management within the insurance sector while maintaining part-time responsibilities at Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital.
Among other professional opportunities, Ms. Tweneboa spent 10 years, starting in 2012, in the classroom as an instructor at Salter College, teaching medical assistants, a role she embraced following personal experiences with postpartum depression after the birth of her second child. This teaching opportunity not only aided her recovery but also allowed her to share her knowledge with aspiring healthcare professionals until the school’s closure. Earlier in her career, Ms. Tweneboa worked as a community nurse with VNA Care Network & Hospice from 2008 to 2010, providing essential home care services and supporting patients’ transitions between care settings.
Ms. Tweneboa’s academic journey began after relocating to the U.S. at age 19. Initially aspiring to study pharmacy, she shifted focus to nursing while working as a certified nursing assistant to support herself and fund her sibling’s education. Ms. Tweneboa earned an associate degree in nursing from Quinsigamond Community College in 2007, followed by a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Framingham State University in 2011. Committed to furthering her expertise, she completed a master’s degree as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Walden University in 2022. Ms. Tweneboa’s professional credentials include registered nurse and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner certifications, underscoring her advanced clinical capabilities in psychiatric nursing and schizophrenia care.
Beyond her clinical work, Ms. Tweneboa is actively involved in civic life as a volunteer mentor and Bible instructor within her church community. These roles reflect her dedication to service and mentorship outside the healthcare setting.
Ms. Tweneboa attributes her success to the unwavering support of her husband and family, her faith and her daily practice of gratitude and resilience. These qualities have shaped both her personal growth and professional accomplishments.
Looking ahead, Ms. Tweneboa is pursuing doctoral coursework in nursing. She is currently writing a book about her personal and professional experiences, with a working title forthcoming. Among other goals, Ms. Tweneboa remains committed to fully establishing Kobbex Behavioral Services as a premier outpatient clinic that incorporates innovative treatment modalities for substance use disorders and resistant depression while ensuring ample time for family life and spiritual fulfillment.
