Lauren C. Ms. Williams has become distinguished for her expertise in mental health counseling and technology, marked by more than 25 years of professional experience. For the past few years, she has served as a psychotherapist at Park Avenue Mental Health Counseling PC, where she specializes in couples and individual counseling with a focus on trauma. Ms. Williams’s expertise extends to working with survivors of rape and other serious incidents, providing compassionate support and advocacy for those reclaiming their sense of selves.
Beyond her work in mental health care, Ms. Williams has served as the founder and director of Collectronics Business Solutions in 2001. She built the company from the ground up after identifying an unmet need within the legal industry for automated account management solutions. Under her leadership, Collectronics Business Solutions collaborated with law firms nationwide, from New York to Hawaii, providing innovative software that streamlined critical processes for attorneys. Since 2014, Ms. Williams has also been active as the president of Execusoft Consulting Services LLC, where she specializes in services for small to mid-sized businesses.
Among other notable roles throughout her tenure in mental health care, Ms. Williams was the chief executive officer of PTSDTherapy LLC from 2022 to 2024, where she led initiatives aimed at supporting individuals coping with post-traumatic stress disorder. She also held the position of chief operating officer and psychotherapist at Pretty Healthy Management LLC between 2019 and 2022. During the same time frame, she practiced as a psychotherapist under the supervision of Dr. Roxanna Namavar. In these capacities, Ms. Williams provided therapeutic services to diverse populations, honing her skills in trauma-informed care.
Before pivoting into health care services, Ms. Williams spent nearly a decade in marketing and publications, client relationship management and sales, working with Riddle & Williams PC, Computer Associates Inc. and Attenza.com, respectively, starting in 1993.
Initially acquiring a Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a minor in political science from Louisiana State University in 1990, Ms. Williams returned to college years later, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in mental health counseling at New York University in 2016, a Master of Arts in counseling psychology from Columbia University in 2018, and a Master of Education in mental health counseling from Columbia University in 2019. She notably received a full scholarship from the Board of Supervisors for her undergraduate studies.
In addition to her degrees, Ms. Williams holds credentials as a certified Gottman Method couples therapist (Level I and II). She is also certified in complex trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder treatment. These credentials have enabled Ms. Williams to provide specialized care for individuals navigating complex emotional landscapes.
Ms. Williams is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Women’s Mental Health Consortium, Psychology Today and the American Psychological Association. Beyond her professional pursuits, she is civically engaged as a volunteer with organizations such as e-TRI, Ndoto: For Africa’s Future, the Good Dog Foundation in Dallas, the Fort Worth Metro Golden Retriever Rescue, and the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation.
