Ms. Downey’s professional credentials are extensive, including certifications as a registered nurse in New Mexico and California, a master addiction counselor, and a licensed marriage and family therapist. These qualifications have enabled her to offer comprehensive support to her clients, addressing both their physical and emotional needs.
Beyond her practice, Ms. Downey has been a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists since 1987. Her additional involvement with Alcoholics Anonymous highlights her commitment to community service. Additionally, Ms. Downey co-authored “Feeling Terrific” with Dr. Damluji and Renee Sievert in 2011. From 2014 to 2016, she also hosted the radio talk show “Design for Living” on Amazing Women of Power.
