The center became a sanctuary for individuals seeking spiritual growth through diverse rituals inspired by global traditions, such as Native American ceremonies and Celtic festivals. Mr. Yoxall’s work at the retreat center was complemented by his role as a regional director of an intensive in-home program for over five years, where he provided critical support to adolescents in crisis.

Mr. Yoxall’s academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in Asian studies with a minor in studio art from Mary Baldwin College and a Master of Arts in culture and history with a focus on world religions from Union Institute & University, both earned in 2007. In addition to his professional endeavors, Mr. Yoxall is deeply involved in civic activities. Most notably, he volunteers at food banks and homeless shelters, demonstrating his commitment to community service.

Mr. Yoxall’s creative pursuits include co-editing the Journal for Asian Studies and co-authoring “China Today” at Mary Baldwin College in 2000. As an artist, he has self-published poetry books and engages in various forms of artistic expression, including painting, stone carving and mixed media. Additionally, Mr. Yoxall has become passionate about creating drums inspired by Native traditions.

Looking ahead, Mr. Yoxall aims to establish both an online and physical healing community to support individuals navigating life’s challenges. He is also focused on completing two books: “Spirituality and Wellness: A Field Guide to Wholeness” and a novel sharing his personal journey. Mr. Yoxall’s life is a testament to his dedication to family, community and the pursuit of holistic well-being, and he looks forward to future success in the mental and physical wellness sector.
