With nearly a decade of experience, Dr. VanDusseldorp has established a successful career in pharmaceuticals and education, specializing in women’s health and nonhormonal dietary supplements. Since 2023, she has served as senior director of clinical research at Bonafide Health and adjunct professor at Jacksonville University. At Bonafide Health, she oversees the clinical research program, supervising a team that conducts internal and external clinical trials on the company’s products. Her responsibilities include managing approximately 30 studies focused on advancing Bonafide Health’s health care initiatives. Her experience also includes serving as director of clinical research at Bonafide Health from 2022 to 2023, president of the International Society of Sports Nutrition from 2021 to 2023, associate professor of exercise science at WellStar College of Health and Human Services, Kennesaw State University, from 2021 to 2022, and assistant professor of exercise physiology at the same institution from 2016 to 2021. Laying a strong educational foundation, she earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Southwest Minnesota State University in 2011, a master’s degree in human performance with a focus on applied sport science from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2013, and a PhD in exercise science from the University of New Mexico in 2016.
Dr. VanDusseldorp has also contributed as past president and past vice president of the International Society of Sports Nutrition and as a supporter of The Jed Foundation. Reflecting on her career, she achieved a significant milestone during her tenure at Kennesaw State University by securing the highest number of grants in her department. Her leadership also drove successful research initiatives in women’s health, dietary supplements, and sports nutrition. She also takes pride in mentoring numerous students who earned PhDs and established successful careers under her guidance. Additionally, at Bonafide Health, she has been instrumental in building a robust research and development clinical pipeline over the past two years. She carefully assembled a talented team, a strategic move that contributed to the rapid sale of their products, and the first product developed under her leadership is set to launch, supported by compelling clinical evidence.
