She also dedicates her time to the National Association of Social Workers and has served as a board director for Forever Families Through Adoption, Inc. since 2013. She laid an educational foundation earning a bachelor’s degree in sociology with a minor in social work and a Bachelor of Arts in English, both from Centenary University of New Jersey, as well as a Master of Social Work from Columbia School of Social Work at Columbia University, earned in 2009, and intensive training in DBT.

Reflecting on her path, Ms. Lauria has always embraced an open-minded curiosity and a natural drive to help others, believing she has a unique ability to understand people on a profound level and guide them toward realizing their potential. She also finds deep fulfillment in mentoring the next generation of social workers, sharing the insights she has gained throughout her career. Additionally, she is proud to have introduced the dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) model to Four Winds Hospitals, contributing lasting value to the institution and its clients. She attributes her success to her unwavering passion and commitment to her work, approaching each goal with determination and resilience, believing that failure is not an option. In the coming years, she aims to foster collaboration within the education system by implementing school-based programs and contributing to policy development. She also plans to expand her independent consulting practice, focusing on providing therapy, consultations, and support to school-aged children and adults alike.
