Martin E. Grubb, respiratory therapist at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in health care and military service.
Driven by a determination to never give up, Mr. Grubb has focused on helping others throughout a professional life spanning nearly 25 years. Following five years as a respiratory therapist at the University of Kentucky, he now holds the same role for the St. Claire Regional Medical Center. Mr. Grubb’s early career experience includes time as a specialist with Cooper Tires. He has proudly served in the United States Army Reserve for more than 20 years, reaching the rank of master sergeant. In honor of his military service, Mr. Grubb was presented with Purple Heart medals in 2016 and 2022. He has employed his medical knowledge to save the lives of other soldiers on the battlefield, which he considers his greatest accomplishment.
Prior to taking on his current position at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center, Mr. Grubb earned a Bachelor of Science in respiratory care from Morehead State University in 2020. In addition to his primary vocation, he is known for his contributions as a civic-minded citizen. Mr. Grubb volunteers with Project Open Skies, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the mental health of pilots. He is also affiliated with the Purple Heart Foundation.
Outside of his career, Mr. Grubb is a dedicated father to three children. He spends his free time taking care of his farm. Mr. Grubb remains committed to his contributions to the Army Reserve in the future and hopes to advance to the rank of command sergeant major. While ensuring the safety of all those under his command, he also intends to further his medical education, with the goal of being able to provide life support during surgery.
