Jeffrey A. Lee, Founder at Simplify EDI Healthcare, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Professional for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Health Care.

Mr. Lee has been a leading software developer and data architect in the health care industry for over a decade as the founder and chief executive officer of Simplify EDI Healthcare LLC. Launched in Muncie, Indiana, in 2021, his health care information technology company focuses on health care electronic data interchange (EDI) and supply management services for health care providers nationwide. Among a multitude of responsibilities, Mr. Lee is tasked with ensuring his clients are running their businesses effectively by addressing any errors and helping solve a range of problems. Among other goals, he develops automated tools to streamline clients’ processes.

Before establishing EDI Healthcare LLC, Mr. Lee was a senior Lawson EDI consultant for ROI Healthcare Solutions LLC in Atlanta from 2016 to 2021, where he focused on EDI implementation, migrations, remediation, advising and training. He also worked as an independent automation consultant in Muncie between 2015 and 2016, providing Microsoft Office automation services like writing custom VBA and doing business analytics and reporting. From 2011 to 2015, Mr. Lee led business process automation at Indiana University Health in Indianapolis, responsible for building automation and tools to improve supply chain operations and reports to guide process improvements, among other tasks. He began his career as a business analyst at Sallie Mae in Muncie between 2006 and 2011.

In preparation for his future, Mr. Lee received an associate degree in computer science from Ivy Tech Community College in 2003 and a Bachelor of Computer Science in game design programming from Full Sail University in 2006. His education has been instrumental in his professional success.

Mr. Lee was recognized among the top 1% of global health care exchanges on EDI. As such, he developed new pioneering processes for EDI, a notable breakthrough involving transmitting room data through EDI. Notably, EDI was first introduced by the U.S. Army in 1960 for large suppliers to exchange data securely. It functions like encrypted email to house and automate the procure-to-pay lifecycle. Mr. Lee has also been credited with several inventions, such as The PerfectED40 in 2015, an algorithm to map out the perfect EDI table, and The EDI Trainer in 2015, an interactive EDI training simulator for practicing EDI in an isolated environment.

Among other accomplishments, Mr. Lee ranked 11th in the U.S. GHX Item Discrepancy Management by GHX in 2014 and was named as the Employee of the Year by ROI Healthcare Solutions in 2016. Despite suffering from a visual impairment due to a genetic disease that will eventually lead to blindness, he continues to excel in his endeavors.

As he prepares for the future, Mr. Lee aims to inspire others facing struggles by demonstrating that they can overcome obstacles with willpower and determination. He remains steadfast about consulting and intends to remain in the industry for as long as possible. He is also learning braille and has developed a braille trainer that resembles a game where users can earn points for motivation.
