Dr. Jade A. Husby, CCCA, FAAA, president, owner, and doctor of audiology at Stanford Hearing Aids, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Healthcare Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in health care.
Dr. Husby has established a successful career in health care, specializing in audiology and adult hearing amplification, including hearing aids and other assistive listening technologies for patients 18 years and older. She currently serves as the owner and president of Stanford Hearing Aids, a role she has held since 2023, and as a doctor of audiology at the practice since 2021. Her previous experience includes working as an audiologist at Midwest Ear, Nose & Throat from 2020 to 2021, serving as an adjunct professor at Augustana University, and completing her audiology residency at Foothills ENT from 2019 to 2020. Earlier in her career, she was a graduate assistant at the University of South Dakota from 2018 to 2019 and a graduate research assistant at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine from 2016 to 2017. She is also a member of the American Academy of Audiology, where she is a fellow, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and Active Generations. In recognition of her accomplishments, she was nominated for the Emerging Professionals Award at the University of South Dakota, received the Local Best Award for 19 consecutive years, and was named to the Honor Roll by the International Association of Better Business Bureaus Inc.
Reflecting on her journey, Dr. Husby built a strong educational foundation, earning a Bachelor of Science in communication sciences and disorders with a minor in psychology from the University of South Dakota in 2016 and a Doctorate of Audiology from the same university in 2020. She also obtained a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association in 2020. Initially uncertain about which area of health care to pursue, her path became clear during her undergraduate years when she had the opportunity to speak with an audiologist while exploring a major in speech and communication disorders. This conversation inspired her to take an interim class in audiology, which sparked her own passion for the field and ultimately led her to choose audiology as her career.
Dr. Husby takes great pride in managing her business while seeing patients full-time. She feels a deep sense of accomplishment, having overcome many challenges by the age of 30, and has discovered that life presents a multitude of opportunities. She attributes her success to her upbringing, her parents’ influence, and her own internal determination to never let herself down and to provide for her family. In the coming years, he aims to continue expanding her patient database and is committed to staying open to learning and growth. She plans to take advantage of every opportunity and deepen her understanding of running a business. Driven by the belief that hard work and a willingness to learn will yield success, she knows she is capable of achieving anything she sets her mind to. Additionally, mastering time management is a continuous learning process for her, as it involves balancing multiple responsibilities and knowing when to prioritize each one. She is also passionate about raising awareness of audiology, a field many are unfamiliar with unless they have a personal or family connection. Educating others about the importance of hearing health remains a key focus for her moving forward.
