Caleb Adegoke, counselor at Adegoke Counseling, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Healthcare Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in mental health.
Mr. Adegoke has established a successful career in mental health and counseling. Since 2022, he has excelled as a counselor at his solo practice, Adegoke Counseling, where he manages everything from scheduling and counseling to developing therapy plans for clients. He also engages in networking, checks and responds to emails, and collaborates with other psychologists, mental health professionals, medical professionals, community organizers, government entities, and private practices to expand his business. His primary focus is on trauma, grief, depression, and anxiety, with an emphasis on managed mental health. He works with clients across various backgrounds and specializes in supporting young men aged 8 to 18, including those from other countries adopted or fostered into mixed interracial families.
Additionally, Mr. Adegoke has served as a counselor at KC Well Co., podcast host at Men’s Wellness Collective, founder of Street Process, and volunteer with Kansas City Community Group. In light of his impressive undertakings, he was recognized as the Best Counselor in Kansas City by Kansas City Magazine in 2023 and he also dedicates his time as a member of the American Counseling Association. Laying a strong educational foundation, he earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in mental health counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University and is a licensed professional counselor.
Reflecting on his path, Mr. Adegoke’s interest in mental health began in college, where his first psychology course had such a profound impact that he switched from pre-law to counseling. He attributes his success to his supportive family and strong network. In the coming years, he envisions transitioning from his private practice to establishing an integrated clinical mental health hospital, combining physical and mental health services in the United States and internationally, with plans to start a mental health hospital in Nigeria. He is also working on founding a nonprofit organization, Street Process, in response to the Kansas City Super Bowl Parade incident on February 14, 2024. Having witnessed the chaos firsthand, he initiated free trauma therapy group sessions throughout the city. Recognizing the need for equitable mental health access, Street Process was created to provide psychoeducation, community resources, and accessible mental health services for the Kansas City area, with plans for continued expansion.
