With over two decades of experience, Ms. Jannatifar has established a successful career in health care, specializing as a midwife. She currently serves as a certified midwife at Hudson River HealthCare Inc., a role she has held since 2015, where she manages both high-risk and normal pregnancies in an outpatient setting. Her practice emphasizes empathy, trust, and human connection, and she dedicates time to building genuine relationships with her patients. Previously, she worked as a certified midwife at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center from 2009 to 2015 and as a midwife in private practice in Iran. Laying a solid educational foundation, she earned a bachelor’s degree in midwifery from Iran and a Master of Science in midwifery from the State University of New York. Certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board, she recently obtained her certification in hypnotherapy as well. In light of her impressive undertakings, she received the Academic Excellence Award from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center, the Joan Ditchik Memorial Award, and honors as a student in Iran.
Reflecting on her career, one of Ms. Jannatifar’s most significant accomplishments is providing exceptional care in women’s health, including gynecology, obstetrics, and family planning. She is deeply grateful for the individuals who paved the way for her success and firmly believes in “standing on the shoulders of giants,” acknowledging the invaluable guidance from those who came before her. She also cherishes the values instilled by her parents, particularly her mother, whose unwavering support and desire for her success fueled her accomplishments. In the coming years, she is dedicated to personal and professional growth, seeking deeper self-awareness and aiming to inspire her children and others as a positive role model. With a strong interest in psychology and self-help, she hopes to gain insights into human nature to offer meaningful support, especially to women, empowering and uplifting those around her. Additionally, Ms. Jannatifar dedicates this honor to her mother, Effatolmolook Hamidian, as her mother’s influence has been a cornerstone of her achievements, particularly her encouragement to pursue education, and she plans to write a book in her honor in the coming years.
