Dr. Kennepp has also contributed to the field through her written work, including “The Role of Physical and Occupational Therapy in Pressure Injury Prevention,” published in the Journal of Acute Care Physical Therapy. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the Academy of Clinical Electrophysiology and Wound Care, the American Physical Therapy Association, the Wound Healing Society, the S3I Committee of the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel, and the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care. Laying a solid foundation for her career, she earned a Bachelor of Science in physical therapy from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 1993 and a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Arcadia University in 2015. Additionally, she is pursuing an executive master’s degree in business from the Quantic School of Business and Technology. She is also a Certified Wound Specialist by the American Board of Wound Management and a Certified Lymphedema Therapist by the Lymphology Association of North America.
In light of her impressive undertakings, Dr. Kennepp has received several prestigious awards, including the Magnet Award in 2017 for her exceptional work as a clinical specialist in a magnet hospital, the Outstanding Therapy Award, and the Outstanding Senior Physical Therapy Student of the Year Award. She attributes her success to her dedication and willingness to learn from mistakes, taking pride in her numerous career achievements and believing that making a difference in even one person’s life is her most important accomplishment. Looking ahead, she aims to develop her leadership skills and become a global vice president by leading international teams.
