Before embarking on his professional path, she pursued an education at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and the State University of New York at Binghamton. She earned a Master of Science in 1993 and a Bachelor of Science in registered nursing in 1985. She continued her academic efforts with coursework toward a doctorate degree, concluding her studies by completing the necessary certifications, including New York State Registered Professional Nurse # 356002, New York State Adult Nurse Practitioner # F300886, and ANCC Adult Nurse Practitioner.
Following these accomplishments, Ms. Synnott served in the U.S. Army Reserve. Beyond her responsibilities within the field, she has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She also worked as an adjunct nursing instructor at Molloy College from 1996 to 2001. She is also affiliated with various organizations, including the American Nurses Association, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the Nurse Practitioners Association of Long Island.
In light of her impressive undertakings, Ms. Synnott has accrued several accolades throughout her career. She was recognized as a recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal from the U.S. Army in 2004 and received Service Awards from North Shore University Hospital.
