Mr. Siagat’s commitment to education led him to a PhD in organic chemistry in 2007 from the same university. Building on his foundation in the sciences, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in respiratory care therapy/therapy from Salisbury University in 2013. He further expanded his expertise with a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in 2019.
Mr. Siagat has added to his educational accomplishments with notable certifications, including APhA pharmacy-based immunization delivery, registered respiratory therapist, advanced cardiovascular life support, and a certified respiratory therapist from the National Board of Respiratory Care, as well as respiratory care practitioner certification from the Maryland Board of Physicians. Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Program certifications from the American Heart Association and basic life support certification from the American Heart Association further emphasize his commitment to comprehensive healthcare.
Mr. Siagat commenced his career as a respiratory care practitioner at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in 2013, where he contributed until 2019. His role expanded as he became a clinical pharmacy specialist at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center from 2020 to 2022. During this period, he also served as a respiratory care practitioner at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, showcasing his multidimensional expertise in the healthcare sector. Mr. Siagat also held the role of respiratory care practitioner for disaster response at Howard County General Hospital in 2020. His extensive knowledge and experience led him to the position of medical science liaison at Covis Pharma from 2022 to 2023, and he has been serving as a medical science liaison at Intercept Pharmaceuticals since 2023. Concurrently, he has contributed as a clinical pharmacist at Howard County General Hospital since 2020.
Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Siagat has garnered several accolades, including the Karrie Lipscomb Scholarship Award for respiratory care in 2013, the Kaiser Permanente Academic Excellence Award in 2011 and 2012, and the Maryland Association for Health Care Recruitment Award in 2012.
