He continued his academic efforts at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology in 2010. At Grand Canyon University, he graduated with a master’s degree in substance abuse and addiction counseling in 2015 and is pursuing a Doctor of Education in organizational leadership with an emphasis on behavioral health.
Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Mr. Harrington has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He held the role of chaplain at the Salvation Army from 2010 to 2017. He served in the United States Army from 1985 to 1987. In addition to his primary vocation, he remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Harrington has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was named to the Dean’s List for his collegiate excellence. He received the first-place award for “The Miracle Change” from the Veterans Administration in 2023 and an Honorary TRIO Program Award for “Soaring Higher, Flying Further, and Passing Ordinary Boundaries for Success” from UNLV. In the immediate future, he intends to assist in developing podcasts that focus on behavior modification. Additionally, he aims to become a life coach and extend his services to one-on-one spiritual counseling.
