Before embarking on her professional path, she pursued an education at Regent University where she earned a PhD in clinical psychology in 2005. Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Dr. Phillips has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She donates to local charities. In addition to her primary vocation, she remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. She was a member of the American Counseling Association, the American Psychological Association, the Virginia Counselor Association, and the Hampton Roads Counselors Association.
In light of her impressive undertakings, Dr. Phillips has accrued several accolades throughout her career. Beach Counseling Center was nominated for Best of the Best in Mental Health Facility. She attributes her accomplishments to her unwavering religious faith and her resolute determination. Additionally, she credits her mother for her success, as she had been her office manager for an extended period.
Growing up, Dr. Phillips had her own share of body image issues, relationship issues, and hormone issues, all of which influenced her decision to get into psychology. One of her most noteworthy achievements in her career thus far was founding the Beach Counseling Center, which began with her and her students. Despite her initial belief that she was not capable of such a feat, the practice has since become highly successful in the community.
Dr. Phillips has recently opened a ketamine clinic, which offers a new treatment for individuals suffering from treatment-resistant depression. In the immediate future, her goal is to expand the clinic while maintaining high standards of quality. To achieve this, she plans to recruit and train skilled employees and stay up-to-date with the latest treatment interventions. Her ultimate goal is to provide patients with the best possible care while expanding her business.
