Lindsay Cook Martin, the owner at Martin Medical Writing LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Healthcare Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of medical regulations.

An experienced and accomplished medical writer whose specialty resides in regulatory and safety documentation, Ms. Cook Martin has distinguished herself as an independent medical writing consultant via Martin Medical Writing LLC. In this role, she works to write and review submission documents for such organizations as the Food and Drug Administration and European Medicines Agency, as well as governmental bodies in Canada, Japan, and other countries.

Among her duties, Ms. Cook Martin helps clients obtain approval from the aforementioned agencies so that various pharmaceutical products can move forward to the marketing stage of development. She also writes study reports, safety documents, narratives, and protocols for investigators and clinical research coordinators to peruse. As a testament to her talent in the field, Ms. Cook Martin’s “An FDA Assessment Aid” was listed on the FDA website as a sample document and was hailed as one of the best-written documents ever submitted.

Hailing from over 30 years of experience in her profession, Ms. Cook Martin previously worked in positions of leadership at InClin Inc., inSeption Group and Cook Medical Communications. As an independent consultant, she also contributed her expertise to Cardinal Health, Dohmen Life Science Services, Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Salix Pharmaceuticals and Schwarz Biosciences, among many others. She initially began her career as a clinical research coordinator at Emory University, where she had received a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology in 1990. Following this accomplishment, Ms. Cook Martin went on to Georgia State University, from which she attained a Master of Arts in sociology in 1993.

Ms. Cook Martin cultivated a passion for clinical research early in her career – after working closely with several investigators and sponsors, she found that her interest in medical writing dovetailed smoothly with her background in sociology, which involved a great deal of reading and writing papers, as well as studying statistics. In accounting for her subsequent success, she largely credits the influence of her mentors and colleagues, from whom she has learned a great deal. Looking ahead, Ms. Cook Martin aspires to continue consulting and contracting for the foreseeable future.
