With many years of experience to her credit, Ms. Jean-Baptiste is currently retired, having notably excelled as a licensed clinical social worker for the New York State Department of Education. Handling the evaluation process for special education students for more than two decades, she additionally operated as a pediatric social worker and a licensed clinical social worker operating out of a private practice for multiple years. Between 2008 and 2011, she was active as a psychotherapist with the New Pathway Counseling Center. Ms. Jean-Baptiste has likewise been affiliated with the National Association of Social Workers since 1990.
A native of Haiti who learned empathy and compassion at a young age, Ms. Jean-Baptiste initially pursued an education at New York City College of Technology, from which she obtained an Associate of Science in human services in 1987. She continued her academic efforts with a bachelor’s degree in social work at York College, part of the City University of New York system, in 1988. She concluded her studies at Columbia University in 1990, graduating from the Columbia School of Social Work with a Master of Social Work in clinical and industrial social work. A spiritual person who believes deeply in finding strength and humility within her community, Ms. Jean-Baptiste hopes to continue sharing her experiences with others and mentor the next generation of social workers.
