Wendy K. Chriss, MBA-HCM, a project manager at Louisiana State University Health Shreveport, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top healthcare professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of surgical medicine.

Hailing from more than two decades of service in the field of health care, Ms. Chriss has distinguished herself as a project manager at the department of surgery for Louisiana State University Health Shreveport since 2018. In this capacity, she is responsible for providing oversight for resident surgeons, conducting meetings, collaborating at the institutional level with the vice chancellor of research, and serving as a mentor. Previously, Ms. Chriss functioned as a medical program director for the McCann School of Business and Technology between 2012 and 2018, having first earned distinction as a certified clinical medical assistant in obstetrics and gynecology from 1999 until 2007. 

Well-qualified in her field, Ms. Chriss has studied at and earned degrees at Southern Arkansas University, Northwestern State University and West Texas A&M University, from which she attained an Associate Degree in Nursing, a bachelor’s degree in allied health science, and a Master of Business Administration, respectively. Presently, she is pursuing a doctorate in health science at Faulkner University. 

Among her most cherished accomplishments, Ms. Chriss is proud to have been asked by the chairman of her department, Robert Keith White, to help him establish a resident research program, lauding her ability to communicate and build a team. To commemorate her excellent career, she has earned numerous accolades from the McCann School of Business and Technology, including recognition as the Program Director of the Year and the Instructor of the Quarter.
