Prior to these appointments, she served as the director of clinical operations for the Visiting Nurse Association of Staten Island from 2005 to 2010. Ms. Markashi began her career as a pharmaceutical salesperson for AstraZeneca from 2001 to 2004.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Markashi pursued an education at the College of Staten Island, part of the City University of New York system, from which she earned an Associate of Applied Science in registered nursing in 1995. She subsequently concluded her studies at the Herbert H. Lehman College, also part of the City University of New York, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in psychology in 1999. Following these accomplishments, she obtained her certifications as a healthcare financial professional from the Healthcare Financial Management Association as well as her registration as a nurse. In February 2023, she will be featured in The National Digest Magazine discussing health and wellness with a focus on compliance, staff development and positive patient outcomes. Looking toward the future, Ms. Markashi hopes to continue growing her business while seeking out worthwhile collaborators.
