Paula S. Wilbert, Inventor and President of Joint Protection Products LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in occupational therapy and business.
Ms. Wilbert has found success as the inventor and president of Joint Protection Products LLC since 2007. After suffering a wrist injury while playing soccer, she was unable to put weight on her hands, and this persisted even after she allowed the injury to heal. Her background as an occupational therapist helped her to realize she needed extra support, and she constructed a prototype. The benefits were immediately clear, and Ms. Wilbert set to work designing her Wrist Assured™ Gloves, which are fitness gloves with firm gel supporting the wrist. After creating her own pair, her yoga and Pilates classmates began asking about purchasing their own, leading her to create Joint Protection Products LLC.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Wilbert worked as an occupational therapist for 40 years. She attended The University of Kansas, graduating in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy, and maintains membership in the Occupational Therapy Association. Ms. Wilbert attributes her success to her upbringing and the values instilled in her by her parents, Donna and Lloyd Wilbert. Her determination helped her to persevere through difficult times with her business. In her spare time, she enjoys bike riding, walking, traveling, and reading. Ms. Wilbert also notably developed a new patented product releasing soon known as WedgEze, which is similar to the gel pad that’s inside of Wrist Assured Gloves (WAGs), but without a glove as WedgEze straps directly to your hand and is especially great for use in yoga.
