Mr. Ellis Kelsey has garnered further experience working as an executive military adviser and medical operations manager in the Directorate of Strategic Medical Operations with the United States Army at Fort Hood since 2018. From 2015 to 2018, he was a chief medical operations officer, chief operating officer, and senior military advisor with the Army’s Directorate of Expeditionary Medical Operations.
Mr. Ellis Kelsey graduated from the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy in 2008, where he studied military and strategic leadership. In 2009, he earned a Bachelor of Science in health care administration, summa cum laude, from Trident University International. In 2010, he obtained a Master of Science in health care administration and project management from Trident University International, and in 2012 he graduated from the same institution with a Master of Business Administration in project management. Mr. Ellis Kelsey holds a Project Management Professional Certification from Central Texas College, a Lean Six Sigma Green and Black Belt Certification, and a Licensed Practical Nurse designation from the Texas Board of Nursing. He is additionally a Licensed Instructor with the United States Army.
With a diverse and accomplished military career to his credit, Mr. Ellis Kelsey began his service with the United States Army Reserve Medical Corps in 1989 as a first sergeant, chief of nursing, and non-commissioned medical officer, posts he excelled in until 2007. He received the Torch Award from the Texas Workforce Commission in 2021 and a Medical Order of Military Merit, and was the recipient of the Order of St. Maurice. Mr. Ellis Kelsey has been a board member of the Association of the United States Army and a member of the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce. He attributes his success to the inspiration of his mother, a single mother who worked three jobs to make ends meet. In the coming years, he hopes to continue in his current posts as he approaches his eventual retirement. In his spare time, Mr. Ellis Kelsey enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with his family.
