With more than 10 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Ford has excelled as a regional laboratory quality manager for Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola Hospital, part of the Ascension Medical Group, since 2018. Prior to this appointment, she served as a medical laboratory scientist with Sacred Heart Pediatrics at Pace, also part of Ascension Medical Group, from 2014 to 2017, Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, Florida from 2016 to 2018, Gulf Breeze Hospital Laboratory with Baptist Health Care from 2011 to 2014 and Sacred Heart Hospital with Ascension Medical Group from 2010 to 2011. Since 2016, she has been additionally active as an adjunct professor of biology and medical sciences at the University of West Florida. Attributing her success to her exceptional motivation to help others, accomplish her goals and contribute to her community, Ms. Ford is incredibly proud of her work during the COVID-19 pandemic, including establishing a drive-thru coronavirus testing site within two days with limited resources and precedent.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Ford pursued an education at the University of West Florida, earning a Bachelor of Science in clinical laboratory sciences in 2010. She concluded her studies at the Rutgers School of Health Professions in 2018, from which she graduated with a Master of Science in clinical laboratory science. In light of her exceptional undertakings, she has accrued several accolades throughout her career, including the Key to the Future Award from the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science in 2021, recognition as an Inweekly Rising Star by Inweekly Independent News in 2021, induction among the 40 Voices Under 40 by the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Sciences in 2020 and the Outstanding Young Alumnus Award at The Spirit of UWF Alumni and Community Awards from the University of West Florida Alumni Association in 2020. Looking toward the future, Ms. Ford hopes to advance to an administrative position within Ascension Medical Group while continuing to find new ways for their research to help people in need.
