Currently pursuing a Doctor of Education degree from the University of New Mexico, Ms. Goel earned a master’s degree in speech therapy/language pathology and communication sciences and disorders from Northwestern University in 2007. Previously, she obtained a bachelor’s degree in government from Smith College in 1997.
Ms. Goel embarked on her professional journey in speech-language pathology with clinical fellowships at Kindred Health Holdings, LLC and Assential Therapies, Inc., in 2007 and at Menta Group between 2007 and 2008. Subsequently, she applied her trade in The Camelot School from 2008 to 2009, at SOS Inc. in 2010 and with ProMedica Health System, Inc., from 2007 until 2011. She further gained expertise in her industry while working with Chicago Public Schools from 2010 to 2015 and at Select Rehabilitation between 2011 and 2015. She served as a speech-language pathologist for Soliant Health from 2015 until 2016 and thrived as a staff member of St. Vincent’s Regional Medical Center from 2009 to 2017.
Ms. Goel excelled during her time as a speech-language pathogist at Soccoro Consolidate Schools from 2019 until 2020 and has flourished in the same role for Advanced Health Care corporation since 2020. Additionally, she has worked with Reliant Pro Rehabilitation since 2014 and at Early Intervention Provider since 2007.
To further contribute to the field of speech-language pathology and to stay attuned to trends in the practice, Ms. Goel has been a member of numerous professional groups, including the Speech Language Academy, Network of Academy Professionals, American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Diversity Task Force, Council of Administrators of Special Education and Council for Exceptional Children. She has also generously given her time working with the Chicago Education Project and the Leadership Development Program.
Inspired to pursue a career as a speech-language pathologist by her mother, who was a Montessori School teacher for over 40 years, Ms. Goel’s tenacity and determination in her approach to work has led to her success. She considers graduating from Northwestern University with a master’s degree and obtaining an administrative license to practice speech-language pathology to be among her most important career achievements. Ms. Goel looks forward to continuing to make invaluable contributions to her profession and to serving as a leader in an enhanced administrative role.
