Rick D. Taylor, IACME, Coroner in Bonneville County, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in death investigation.
Mr. Taylor is certified by the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators, and in this capacity, he has served Bonneville County, Idaho, as the county coroner since 2012. Prior to this post, he was the chief deputy coroner with the county for more than a decade, from 2001 to 2012. Mr. Taylor spent many years as a firefighter with the Idaho Falls Fire Department, serving as the division chief and a firefighter from 1982 to 2011. In addition to his primary career posts, he is a volunteer for suicide prevention in the state of Idaho.
In his position as the Bonneville County coroner, Mr. Taylor handles any case deemed non-medically attended, such as deaths that occur at home, or deaths of a violent nature that require an autopsy. To remain abreast of changes and developments in his field, Mr. Taylor is a member of the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators and the International Association of Coroners and Medical Examiners (IACME). In the coming years, he hopes to train new deputy coroners in his office who are interested in following his career path, and in his spare time, he enjoys skiing and visiting family.
