Greatly influenced by her mother, Ms. Manoah initially obtained her certifications as a health specialist and her registration as a dietitian nutritionist. She continued her academic efforts at Radford University, from which she earned a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in 2002. She subsequently concluded her formal studies at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2014, graduating with a Master of Public Health. As a testament to her stellar academic potential, she was presented with the Mary Kathryn Phillips Brewer Memorial Scholarship, the Elbert H. and Everlyn J. Waldron Scholarship, the Frances G. Seither Scholarship and the Charles W. McCellan Scholarship for International Students. Attributing her success to her persistence, Ms. Manoah is incredibly proud of defying the expectations of others and achieving her master’s degree, which she cites as the highlight of her career.
